Ready to turn your dream itinerary into a reality? Get ready for an unforgettable adventure across two neighboring EU countries with our exciting Social Media Contest, part of the “Cohesion Policy is standing by Cyprus, France, and Belgium” project!

About the Contest: Get ready to create the ultimate itinerary for a 5-day trip, exploring vibrant regions within the EU, supported by Cohesion Policy funding. Your journey is expected to include visits to at least 4 incredible projects funded through the EU Cohesion Policy, showcasing their impact on local communities.

How to Participate:

  1. Create your 5-day itinerary across two neighboring EU countries, to include transportation and visits to at least 4 Cohesion Policy-funded projects (2 in each country/region).
  2. Ensure your itinerary reflects the spirit of exploration, discovery, and appreciation for the projects’ contributions to local development.
  3. Submit your itinerary in PDF format (English language) at info@aspon.com.cy before the submission deadline (see below). Please include your name, contact details, and social media handles.

Prizes: 🏆 One lucky winner will receive:

  • Transportation and accommodation costs for two people (up to 1,000 EUR total) based on the 5-day itinerary across two neighboring EU countries that has been submitted by the participant!

Additional information:

  • The winner will be called to create audio-visual material for the project, including a short video (duration of 2-3 minutes) providing information on the visited projects, and a set of photos from all visited projects in English.
  • The winner will aim to arrange a short interview/discussion with the director/relevant personnel of one of the visited projects in English.
  • The material created/collected by the competition’s winner will be disseminated through the channels of the campaign.
  • Based on the trips/itineraries received for the contest, an e-booklet will be produced and disseminated as part of the project.

Key Terms and Conditions:

  • The contest is open to residents of the EU aged 18 and above.
  • Itineraries must comply with all applicable laws and regulations and must include visits to Cohesion Policy-funded projects and must be in English.

Judging Criteria:

Entries will be evaluated based on creativity, feasibility, and adherence to the Contest guidelines. The decision of the judging panel, comprising representatives from our project partners, will be final and binding.

Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

1.1 The “Road Trip in the Regions” Social Media Contest (hereinafter referred to as the “Contest”) is organized as part of the Cohesion Policy awareness-raising campaign aimed at informing citizens about the Cohesion Policy, its priorities, funds, and the impact of projects funded through the policy.

1.2 The Contest is open to all individuals aged 18 years or older who are residents of the European Union Member States.

2. Contest Details

2.1 Participants are required to create an itinerary for a 5-day trip in two neighboring EU countries, including visits to at least 4 projects funded through Cohesion Policy (two in each country/region).

3. Eligibility Criteria

3.1 Participants must be aged 18 years or older and residents of the European Union Member States.

3.2 Employees of the project partners Aspon Consulting (CY), Alpha Cyprus (CY), Syncnify (FR), KMOP Policy Center (BE), and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate in the Contest.

4. Prize

4.1 The prize for the winners includes:

  • Transportation and accommodation costs for two people (up to 1,000 EUR total) based on the 5-day itinerary across two neighboring EU countries that has been submitted by the participant!

4.2 The maximum prize amount for transportation and accommodation costs is €1,000.

5. Contest Guidelines

5.1 Participants must submit their itinerary in PDF format through emai a info@aspon.com.cy. Please use the subject as below to the email to the sent:

 Road Trip in the Regions submission – [Name] [Surname]

5.2 Itineraries must adhere to the budget limitations and include detailed plans for the 5-day trip, including destinations, activities, and visits to Cohesion Policy-funded projects.

5.3 Each participant can submit only one entry.

6. Winner Selection

6.1 The winner will be selected based on creativity, feasibility, and adherence to the Contest guidelines.

6.2 The decision of the judging panel, comprising representatives from the project partners, will be final and binding.

7. Prize Acceptance

7.1 The winner will be notified via email or direct message on social media within 7 days of the contest closing date.

7.2 The winner must respond to the notification and provide all necessary details for prize redemption within 7 days of notification.

7.3 Failure to comply with these requirements may result in disqualification, and an alternate winner may be selected.

7.4 The winner must declare and officially sign that by accepting the prize, he/she will be implementing the 5-day trip based on the itenary proposed through his/her participation and that she/he will:

  • Create audio-visual material for the project, including a short video (duration of 2-3 minutes) providing information on the visited projects, and a set of photos from all visited projects.
  • Arrange a short interview/discussion with the director/relevant personnel of one of the visited projects (if possible)
  • Share the audio-visueal material with the project coordinator for dissemination through the channels of the campaign.

8. Prize Implementation

8.1 The winning submission must be implemented within 2 months of the announcement of the winner. Failure to do so may result in forfeiture of the prize.

8.2 The transportation and accommodation costs for the contest winners will be covered directly by the project coordinator on behalf of the winners. This will be coordinated upon selection of the winning submission, between the project coordinator and the winner. 

8.3 All bookings for flights and accommodations will be made by the project coordinator using the project’s resources and budget. The project coordinator will ensure that all bookings are made in accordance with the project’s guidelines and budgetary restrictions.

9. Publicity

9.1 By participating in the Contest, participants grant permission for their name and entry to be used for publicity purposes related to the Cohesion Policy awareness-raising campaign.

9.2 Participants acknowledge and agree that, in the event of winning the Contest, their transportation and accommodation details may be shared with the project coordinator for the purpose of arranging and booking travel and accommodation on their behalf.

10. General Conditions

10.1 The organizers reserve the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Contest in the event of unforeseen circumstances or force majeure.

10.2 The organizers accept no responsibility for lost, late, incomplete, or misdirected entries, or for any technical malfunction that may occur during the submission process.

10.3 Participation in the Contest constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

10.4 For any inquiries regarding the Contest, participants may contact the organizers at the provided email address.

11. Governing Law

11.1 The Contest is governed by the laws of the European Union and Cyprus, France, and Belgium, as applicable.
